Dental clinic software for clinics in Pakistan
A lot of dental clinics in Pakistan still run on a register at the front desk, a cupboard full of patient files and a WhatsApp group for appointments. That works fine until the clinic gets busy. Then a file goes missing, nobody is sure whether the patient paid the second instalment of their root canal, and the receptionist spends the evening calling people to remind them about tomorrow.
FindClinica is dental software built for exactly that kind of clinic. Patient files, a tooth chart, perio charting, prescriptions, payments and appointment reminders all sit in one app that runs on your Android phone and on the Windows computer at reception. You can start on the free plan and move patients in at your own pace.

Records by tooth, the way you already think
Every treatment you add is tied to a tooth. Tap 36 on the chart and the record fills in LL6 for you. The chart shows FDI numbers next to the quadrant number, and there is a child mode for milk teeth.
You don't have to type out treatment names either. Around a hundred common dental procedures are already in the list, from scaling and composite fillings to RCT, crowns, implants and braces. Type a few letters and pick one. Anything you type yourself is remembered for next time.
When a patient comes back six months later saying the same tooth hurts again, filter their file by that tooth and you get only its history. Teeth that already have records carry a small dot, so you can see at a glance where you've worked before.
For orthodontic cases there is an ortho photo chart with 17 standard views (laterals, occlusals, face and smile shots), laid out by visit date. Before and after ends up on one screen instead of in your phone's camera roll.

Payments and instalments without the khata
Dental work here is usually paid in parts. A patient pays 8,000 at the first RCT sitting, 5,000 at the next one and the rest when the crown goes on. In a register that is three entries on three different pages, and someone has to add them up.
In FindClinica the payment sits on the treatment itself. Enter the charges and what was paid today, and the balance is worked out for you. Each follow-up visit can carry its own payment. The Payments tab totals it up for the patient: total charges, total paid and what is left.
Clinic expenses go into Spendings, so rent, lab bills and materials sit next to your income when you sit down to look at the month.

A periodontal chart you will actually fill in
Paper perio charts take long enough that they often get skipped. The chart in FindClinica covers all 32 adult teeth with probing depth, gingival margin, bleeding on probing, plaque, mobility and furcation, at six sites per tooth. Click a site and pick the number. Deeper pockets are coloured, so they stand out without you hunting for them.
Save it as an Initial Exam, a Re-evaluation or a Maintenance visit. The chart list shows the mean probing depth of each one, which makes it easy to show a patient the difference after scaling. You can also print it as an A4 PDF for the file.
If an assistant is new to perio terms, the built-in guide explains each one in English and Urdu.

Prescriptions in a minute, sent on WhatsApp
For the prescriptions you write every day there are ready-made sets: root canal, extraction, scaling and polishing, abscess and mouth ulcer. One click adds the usual medicines with their doses. Common ones like Augmentin, Flagyl, Brufen, Ponstan and Risek are already in the list, and you can save your own sets for the way you prescribe.
Doses are written the way patients here are used to reading them: 1+0+1 for morning and night, 5 days, after meals. The prescription carries your name, clinic details and PMDC number, and a short note in Urdu telling the patient what to do if a medicine disagrees with them.
Send it on WhatsApp or print it. One thing to know: the prescription image is made on our server, so you need an internet connection to send one.

Appointments that remind patients for you
Book from your phone in the operatory or from the desktop at reception. You can look at the whole clinic's day or filter by doctor, and your working hours decide which slots are open.
When you book, move or cancel an appointment, the patient gets an SMS automatically, and on the paid plans another one shortly before the visit. There is no SMS package to buy and nothing to set up. The messages go out through FindClinica.
The other registers your clinic keeps
Healthcare commission standards, like the MSDS in Punjab, ask for more than patient files. FindClinica has a Clinic Management section for the rest: a drug inventory that shows what is close to expiry, a sterilization log for failed cycles and autoclave breakdowns, sentinel events for clinical incidents, and a waste disposal log. It won't make a clinic compliant on its own, but it keeps those records in one place instead of four notebooks.
Staff attendance is in the app too. Staff check in and out, and paid plans can capture a face photo at check-in. There is also a complaints QR code you can print for the reception desk. Patients scan it, and their feedback shows up under Complaints.

Keeps working when the internet doesn't
When the electricity goes, the router usually goes with it. FindClinica keeps your data on the device, so you can keep adding patients, treatments and payments with no connection. Everything syncs once you are back online.
A full backup goes to the server every day. A stolen phone or a dead hard drive doesn't take your patient files with it.
To use the reception computer as well, install the desktop app and connect it with a one-time code from your phone. One connected device is included free and Premium allows three, so the receptionist can book appointments while you work on the phone chairside.
What it costs
The free plan has no limit on patients and includes the desktop app on one connected computer. A small clinic can run on it for good, and anyone can try the app properly before paying anything.
Pro is PKR 2,000 a month. It adds appointment reminders, the expense tracker and the advanced perio chart. Premium is PKR 5,000 a month and adds more storage, high-quality image uploads and three connected devices.
You pay in rupees by bank transfer or QR code, and paid plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. See the full plan comparison.
What it doesn't do yet
Better you hear it from us before you start. FindClinica doesn't track lab orders yet, there is no treatment plan builder, and the app screens are in English. You can keep X-rays in a patient's gallery as images, but there is no X-ray viewer or measuring tool. A 3D CBCT viewer is on the way.
Questions dentists ask us
Is FindClinica only for dentists?
Mostly, yes. Other clinics can use it for patient files, appointments and payments, but the tooth chart, perio chart, ortho photo chart and dental treatment list were built for dentists.
Can I use it on my phone and the reception computer at the same time?
Yes. Install it on your Android phone, then connect the Windows desktop app with a one-time code from the phone. One connected device is included free, and Premium allows three.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, for day-to-day work. Patients, treatments, payments and appointments are saved on the device and sync when you are back online. Sending a prescription and uploading photos need a connection.
Do I have to enter all my old patients before I start?
No. Most clinics start with new patients and add old ones when they come back for a visit. Within a few months the files you actually use are all in the app.
Is my patient data safe?
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and a full backup is made every day, so losing a phone doesn't mean losing your records.
How do I pay for a plan?
In PKR, by bank transfer or QR code. Send the receipt on WhatsApp or email and your account is upgraded within 24 to 48 hours. International clinics can pay in USD through Payoneer.
